Day 2: Phone, Texting, and Email Setup β Agency Owner
Your leads are in. Now we need to make sure Agency MVP can actually reach them.
Workflows are designed to start with a text first. If texting is not connected, that first automated touch never goes out. Getting this done today is what separates agencies that see results in week one from the ones that wonder why nothing is happening.
Step 1 β Connect Your Agency Texting Provider
- Click your name in the top right.
- Click Account Information.
- Scroll down to Texting Integration Settings.
- Choose your provider from the dropdown and connect it.
RingCentral:
Select RingCentral from the dropdown and click Save. If everyone at your agency will use one texting line, make sure that line is assigned to you, the agency owner. Choose the texting number from the dropdown. If you want everyone to use the same number, enter it in the Override RingCentral SMS Number field.

Ooma Office:
Select Ooma Office from the dropdown and click Connect Your Account. Log in using your user password (not your admin password). Once connected, type in the Ooma number you want to use for texting and click Save.

Text Request:
Select Text Request from the dropdown. In a new tab, log in to your Text Request account and go to the Integrations page. Copy your API key, come back to Agency MVP, paste it into the Text Request API Key box, and click Save.

Twilio:
Select Twilio from the dropdown. In a new tab, go to your Twilio console and find the Account Information section. Copy your Account SID and paste it into Agency MVP, then copy your Auth Token and paste it in. Click Verify Settings.

GoTo:
Select GoTo from the dropdown to enable it at the agency level. Each team member then connects their own account by going to My Account Settings β Connect Your Account under GoTo Connect Settings β log in with their GoTo credentials β select the number they want to text from.

Step 2 β Shared or Individual Texting Numbers?
Decide how your agency wants texting set up before moving on.
Shared number β One texting number used for the entire agency. Once you connect your texting provider account, choose your number from the dropdown.
Individual numbers β Each producer texts from their own number. Check Use Individual Texting Numbers on the Account Information page. Producers will connect their own accounts through their Day 2 email.
Step 3 β Set Up Your Custom Email Signature
Every quote comparison email and workflow email that goes out under your name uses your personal email signature. If it is not set up, those emails go out looking unfinished.
- Click your name in the top right.
- Click My Account Settings.
- Scroll down to Custom Email Signature.
- Enter or upload your signature.
- Click Test Email Signature to preview it.

Step 4 β Set Up SMTP So Emails Send From Your Real Address
β οΈ NOTE: Farmers agents may skip this step.
SMTP connects your real email address to Agency MVP so every email the system sends on your behalf comes from you, not a generic address.
Gmail:
- Go to your Google Account β click Manage your Google Account.
- Click Security in the left menu.
- Enable 2-Step Verification and complete the setup.
- Search for App Password in the Security page search bar and select it.
- Select Mail as the app and name it Agency MVP.
- Click Generate and copy the 16-character code. Save it before closing.
- In Agency MVP: click your name β My Account Settings β enter
smtp.gmail.comas SMTP Domain, your Gmail as SMTP Username, paste the code as SMTP Password β Update.

Office365:
- In Agency MVP: click your name β My Account Settings.
- Enter
smtp.office365.comas SMTP Domain. - Enter your username, email address, and password.
- Click Update, then click Test SMTP Settings.

Outlook:
- In Agency MVP: click your name β My Account Settings.

smtp-mail.outlook.comas SMTP Domain. - Enter your email address as SMTP Username.
- Click Set SMTP Password and enter your email password.

Step 5 β Domain Authentication (Alternative to SMTP)
If you use a custom domain for your email and prefer Domain Authentication instead of SMTP, email support@agencymvp.com with your domain name and the host it is registered through. Our team will send you the next steps to get it configured.
