Owner Day 4: Headers, Sections, and How to Work Them

Today is a different kind of day. Nothing to build, nothing to connect. Today is about making sure every producer on your team knows exactly how to move through Agency MVP every single day.

This is the day most agencies tell us everything clicked. It is also the day where things fall apart if you skip it. Producers who do not understand the sections end up working the wrong contacts, logging incorrectly, and losing trust in the system fast. A five-minute conversation with your team today prevents weeks of that.

The Three Sections Your Team Needs to Understand

At the top of Agency MVP is the header bar. Every contact in your system lives in one of three sections. Make sure every producer understands these definitions before they start working leads.

πŸ’‘ Tip: Hovering over Leads, Prospects, or Customers in the header will show a quick view of how many households are ready to call in each section.

Leads A Lead is a household you do not have permission to quote or do not have enough confirmed information to complete a full quote for. New contacts start here. Workflows are reaching out automatically, but they have not been confirmed and quoted yet.

  • API Leads β€” Leads that came in automatically through an integration.
  • My API Leads β€” Leads that came in through an integration and were assigned specifically to you.

Prospects There are two types of Prospects:

  • Awaiting β€” You have quoted them but have not yet reviewed the quote with them.
  • Quoted (Reviewed Quote) β€” You have gone over the quote with them but have not closed the sale yet.

A contact moves from Leads to Prospects only after a producer has spoken to them, confirmed their information, and completed a real quote.

Customers A Customer is either a Prospect you have marked as sold, or a current customer from your book of business. MVP splits your cross-sell opportunities by line of business β€” Auto, Home, Umbrella, Life, Specialty, and Commercial.

The Daily Working Rhythm β€” Walk Your Team Through This

Walk every producer through this process today. Once they know it, Agency MVP becomes straightforward to use every single day.

  1. Log in to Agency MVP.
  2. Click Leads in the header to open the Leads call view page.
  3. Always start at the top. The list is ranked β€” highest-priority contacts are at the top. Do not skip around.
  4. Click the arrow to the left of the first household to open their contact.
  5. Click Details only if you need to update information on that contact. Do not make this a default step on every household β€” only when something actually needs to change.
  6. Dial the phone number. RingCentral users can click the number directly to dial.
  7. Log the call on the right-hand side:
    • The call status prefills to unanswered. If the call was answered or inbound, change the status.
    • Notes are required on answered and inbound calls.
    • Set the Next Action β€” this tells MVP when to bring the household back. Options include Call Back Today, Call Tomorrow, Call Back Future Date, and Call Back Specific Date/Time.

  8. Click Save β†’ move to the next household β†’ repeat.

πŸ’‘ Tip: The date and time called prefills automatically when you click the arrow to the left of the household. You rarely need to change this.

Using the Filters Dropdown

On the left side above the contact list, there is a Filters dropdown. Show your team how to use it to narrow their view when they need to focus on a specific group of contacts.

Filters available include:

  • Best Time to Call β€” Filter by morning, afternoon, or evening. Select multiple options at once. The list will still be ranked, so always start at the top.
  • Filter by Workflow β€” View only households assigned to a specific workflow.
  • Custom Filter β€” Additional filtering options from the dropdown.

πŸ’‘ Tip: You can select multiple filter options at once. Active filters turn blue so you always know what you are viewing.

Your Job as the Owner Today

Walk through this with your team. Make sure every producer understands the three sections, knows how to open a contact using the arrow, knows that notes are required on answered calls, and knows how to set a Next Action before clicking Save.
