This feature is intended to be used for a “master” agency using MVP who has a “sub-agency”, who also uses MVP, that are needing households (leads, prospects, or customers) transferred to them.
Ex: A district office with an MVP account purchasing leads for an agent with their own MVP account. The district office will then be able to disburse the leads they are purchasing for their agents directly to their agent’s MVP account.
How a master agency invites a sub-agency:
Org owner of the master agency will click their name at the top right in MVP and go to the Account Information page
In the Sub-Agencies section you will enter in the email of the account owner of the sub-agency you are wanting to invite to your account, then click Invite Sub-Agency
The owner of the sub-agency will then receive an email invitation to link their account to a master account.
Once the sub-agency owner accepts the invitation and links the account, the master agency owner will receive an email confirming the acceptance to be a sub-agency under the master account.
Once the invitation has been accepted, the sub agency will appear in the Sub-Agencies section on the Account Information page
How to unlink a sub-agency from your account/ unlink yourself from a Master Agency:
If you wish to remove an agency you have previously added as a "sub-agency" you can do so under the Sub-Agencies section on your Account Information page. Just click the Remove button, and your agency will unlink itself.
How to distribute leads manually from a master agency to a sub-agency:
From any call view page, choose the Update Multiple Households option. Select the households you want to assign to a sub-agency and click the Transfer to Sub-Agency option
From the drop down, choose which one of your linked sub-agencies you would like to transfer the selected households to.
Then, you will have two options:
- Transfer the selected households to the sub-agency’s owner (the owner will then decide what to do with the household)
- Distribute the selected households evenly amongst the staff at the chosen sub-agency
Lastly, click the Transfer Households button.
Now these households will be transferred and the chosen sub-agency will see these households on their call view page.
How to distribute leads automatically through a workflow from a master agency to a sub-agency:
First, you will need to create an API workflow. On your workflows page click Create API Workflow.
See more on creating an API Workflow here.
Give your workflow a name (ex: Everquote) and choose your Lead Source (ex: Everquote).
* Remember you can only have one workflow per lead source
Under Notification Settings, choose Distribute Leads Automatically, then choose the Distribute Leads to Sub-Agencies option
Next, choose how you want the leads distributed amongst your chosen sub-agencies -
- Even Distribution - Leads distributed evenly amongst the chosen agencies
- Weighted Distribution - Can distribute based on percentage of leads you want each agency to receive (ex: 25% to Dean Agency, 25% to Expansive Inc., 50% to Stuber Agency)
- Numbered Distribution - Distribute leads based on how many you want each agency to receive. Note: Leads received over the total daily count will be kept within your agency (can be found in the API Leads call view page).
NOTE: When distributing leads to sub-agencies, all actions and settings will follow any API workflows those agencies have defined for this lead source.
Lastly, Save Workflow
