Four days in and you are working leads like a pro. Today is about making sure the work you are doing shows up in the system correctly, because Agency MVP can only track what you actually enter.
Here is the one rule that matters most: a quote is not a real quote in Agency MVP unless a premium number is entered. No premium means it does not count in your activity, it does not show on the dashboard, and it does not contribute to your goals. Enter every quote with a premium. Every time. No exceptions.
Step 1 โ Open the Household You Want to Work
- Go to Leads or Prospects in the header.
- Click Details on the far right of the household row.
- You can also use the search bar in the top right to find someone quickly.
Step 2 โ Enter an Auto Quote
- On the Details page, scroll down to the Quotes section.
- Click the Auto tab if it is not already selected.
- Click Add+ next to Competitor Quote.
- If you know the current carrier information, enter it. If you do not, select Do Not Know and continue.
- Scroll down and click Add Quote+ next to Your Quote.
- Enter the Quote Carrier, Effective Date, and Premium. Make sure the premium is filled in.
- Save the quote.
๐ก Tip: You do not need competitor quote information to use Quote Comparison. You can send just your quote if you do not have current carrier details.

Step 3 โ Enter a Home Quote
- On the Details page, scroll down to the Quotes section.
- Click the Home tab.
- Click Add+ next to Competitor Quote and enter current carrier info if you have it.
- Choose the property address from the dropdown. If the address does not appear, scroll up to the Residences section to add it first.
- Select the Quote Carrier, Effective Date, Premium, and coverages. Make sure the premium is filled in.
- Save the quote.

Step 4 โ For Farmers Agents Using APEX
If you use APEX or PolicyCenter for quoting, install the Copy to Clipboard Chrome Extension. It lets you copy a quote directly from APEX and paste it into Agency MVP without manual entry.
- Install the Copy to Clipboard Chrome Extension.
- Open the quote in APEX or PolicyCenter.
- Click the MVP icon in the Chrome toolbar and click Copy data.
- Switch to the household's Details page in Agency MVP.
- Make sure the correct quote tab is selected (Auto or Home).
- Open the extension and click Paste data.

Step 5 โ Enter Renewal Dates Whenever You Have Them
Any time you have renewal information for a household, enter it on the Details page. These dates power your X-date follow-up workflows, which we cover tomorrow on Day 6.
- If you know the exact renewal date, enter it.
- If you only know the month, enter the first day of that month. Something close is far better than nothing.
Step 6 โ Move Contacts Through the Pipeline Correctly
Pipelining is about moving contacts to the right status at the right time. This keeps your list clean and your follow-up on track.
Convert to Prospect Use this once you have spoken to the household, confirmed their information, and completed a real quote. A lead should stay in Leads until all three have happened.
โ ๏ธ Note: The Convert to Prospect button only appears once at least one quote has been entered in Agency MVP.
After converting, the household moves to the Awaiting section under Prospects. This is the holding area for contacts you have quoted but have not yet reviewed the quote with.
Mark as Quoted Once you have presented and reviewed the quote with the household, click Mark as Quoted. This moves them to the Reviewed Quote section.
Mark as Sold When the policy sells, click Mark as Sold.

Step 7 โ Send the Quote Through Quote Comparison
Agency MVP lets you send the quote directly to the household by text or email without leaving the system.
- Open the household's Details page.
- Click Quote Comparison at the top right of the Details page, or find it in the Quotes section. It can also be accessed from the call view page by clicking the arrow to the left of the household's name.
- Select the recipient from the dropdown at the bottom.
- Click Send Text or Send Email.
๐ก Tip: You can track when the quote was sent and each time the household clicks the link from the History tab on the Details page.
