Understanding the Transition States v2

Every household is a lead, a prospect or a customer. You move a household between them from its detail page, using the stage button and the Mark as Sold button.

Before you start

Open the household from a Leads, Prospects or Customers list, or find it with the search box at the top.

Steps: Lead to Prospect, and back

  1. Next to Save at the top of the household page, click the stage button. It shows where the household is now: Lead, Awaiting Quote, Reviewed Quote, or Customer.

  2. Pick the stage you want. Stages that aren't allowed right now are greyed out, with the reason under them.
  3. Read the box that opens and click the button at the bottom, for example Move to Awaiting Quote.

Every move asks you to confirm first. Moving a household backward also resets its AgencyMVP quotes to completed. Moving back from Reviewed Quote also removes its Quoted status.

Awaiting Quote or Reviewed Quote

  • Awaiting Quote is a prospect you have quoted but have not yet gone over the quote with. It shows on the Awaiting Quote tab of the Prospects page.
  • Reviewed Quote is a prospect you have gone over the quote with, who hasn't bought yet. The stage button calls it Reviewed Quote, and the Prospects page tab calls it Quoted.

Steps: Prospect to Customer

  1. On the household page, click Mark as Sold. The button shows when the household has at least one quote that has not been sold.
  2. In the Mark as Sold box, set the Policy Effective Date and the Sale Date.
  3. Choose the Marketing Source for the sale. It starts as the household's first tag, if it has one.
  4. In the table, tick each line that sold. The table lists the household's unsold AgencyMVP quotes by Line and Premium. If there are none, it says No Quotes to be sold.

  5. Click Mark as Sold at the bottom of the box. Mark as Sold stays greyed out until the dates and Marketing Source are filled in.

What happens next

You see "Converted to Customer" and land on the household's customer page. The household now appears on the Customers page.

Troubleshooting

  • If the stage you want is greyed out, read the reason under it. Fix that and open the stage button again.
  • If you don't see Mark as Sold, the household has no quote that is still unsold: it has no quotes yet, or all of them are already sold. Add a quote first.
